West Biloxi Boardwalk Beach Fishing

5.7· Beach· Biloxi, MS

Free: No fees are posted for the beach; public lot by the comfort station (checked Oct 17, 2026)

West Biloxi Boardwalk Beach is the stretch of Harrison County's man-made sand beach below the half-mile West Biloxi Boardwalk, which runs along the shore between Veterans and Rodenberg avenues. A public lot and a comfort station with restrooms sit south of US 90 near the foot of Rodenberg, so it is an easy place to start a wade along the Mississippi Sound. Biloxi's front beach is mostly flat and featureless, and anglers wade it for speckled trout in spring, when the fish leave the bays and bayous for the beach until about May, with redfish, white trout and flounder through summer and fall. Throw a mullet-colored soft plastic on a light jig and work any old pilings or other structure you find. The water is shallow and often murky; shuffle your feet for stingrays, keep clear of swimmers and leave the water when storms build.
