Little Lagoon Pass Park Fishing

Little Lagoon Pass Park is a City of Gulf Shores park on West Beach Boulevard where Little Lagoon drains to the Gulf through a narrow, regularly dredged pass. Anglers wade the firm sand of the pass, fish the current where it meets the surf, and walk a path from the lot to a 300-foot pier that reaches a drop-off in the lagoon, where big flounder have been caught. Speckled trout, redfish, flounder and white trout are the main targets, and the lagoon is known for some of the largest croakers on the Gulf Coast. Fish early and late in summer and through the day in the cooler months whenever the tide is moving. The park has restrooms and showers, paid parking and seasonal lifeguards, and is open dawn to dusk.
