Innerarity Point Park Fishing

6.2· Pier · Escambia County, FL

Innerarity Point Park is an Escambia County waterfront park of about four acres on Old River, the sheltered channel between Innerarity Point and Perdido Key, with an accessible boardwalk and a dock large enough for fishing. It is a relaxed, family-friendly place for light-tackle inshore fishing: speckled trout and redfish on live shrimp under a cork, flounder on a Carolina rig along the bottom, sheepshead around the dock pilings in late winter and spring, and mangrove snapper and ladyfish in summer. Tides are small, often only one high and one low a day, so fish while the current is moving. The county lists it as open daily from sunrise to sunset, and it has restrooms with rinse-off areas, covered pavilions and parking. A designated swim area runs along both sides of the dock, so cast away from swimmers, and watch for lightning on summer afternoons.
