Clifford Sims Park, the former Jetty Park, is a City of Port St. Joe park on the narrow peninsula that separates the Port St. Joe Marina basin from St. Joseph Bay, at the northern end of the Bay Walk Trail. The city lists two wooden fishing piers, several hundred feet of bulkhead to fish from, two covered gazebos, picnic tables, a public restroom and ample parking. Local anglers catch speckled trout and redfish along the walls, black drum, mangrove snapper and small gag grouper around the marina rocks, and sheepshead in the cooler months. Fish live shrimp or small pinfish on a light rig on a moving tide, especially at dusk. Boat trailers, RVs and alcohol are not allowed in the park. Watch for boat traffic at the marina entrance, slippery rocks and lightning.
