Greenfield Park Pier, Hobe Sound Fishing

5.7· Pier· Jupiter Island, FL

Greenfield Park is a small Martin County park at the east end of SE Cabot Street in Hobe Sound, on the Intracoastal Waterway where the Indian River Lagoon runs wide and shallow toward Jupiter Island. Its wooden fishing pier has a bench, a rod holder and a fish cleaning station, and a little beach lies beside it. The surrounding grass and sand flats hold jacks, ladyfish, sheepshead, seatrout and pompano, with small snook and mangrove snapper around the pilings and docks nearby. Fish live shrimp or small jigs on the moving tide, early or late in the day. The lot is small and the park has no restrooms or trash cans, so bring a bag for your litter. Watch for boat wakes and summer lightning.
