Mariners Landing, Gulf Breeze Fishing

6.8· Pier · Gulf Breeze, FL

Free: No entry fee; non-residents pay to park (checked Sep 27, 2026)

Mariners Landing is a Gulf Breeze city park right under the Pensacola Bay Bridge, reopened in June 2025 after eight years of bridge construction and hurricane repairs, with a new boat ramp, a rebuilt boardwalk and a fishing pier on Pensacola Bay. The city welcomes fishing from the fishing pier only; the boat-launch docks are off limits to anglers. The bay around the bridge holds sheepshead in late winter and spring, speckled trout, redfish and white trout for much of the year, flounder in the fall, and Spanish mackerel and ladyfish in summer. Live shrimp under a cork or on a Carolina rig, fiddler crabs for sheepshead and soft plastics at dawn and dusk cover most of it. Non-residents pay to park. Watch for boat traffic by the ramp, the summer heat and afternoon lightning.
