Point Park, known locally as The Point, sits at the west end of Pascagoula's Beach Boulevard where the Pascagoula River meets the Mississippi Sound. The city lists two fishing piers, four boat launches, restrooms and parking for about 100 boat trailers, and in 2024 began building a third, 300-foot covered pier with flow-through decking. River current sweeping past the point brings speckled trout, redfish and flounder close, with sheepshead and black drum around the pilings and rocks, white trout and croaker in season, and bull redfish in fall. Fish shrimp under a cork on the moving tide, or cut bait on the bottom for drum and reds. The park also has a picnic area, a shade pavilion, ADA beach access and a beach promenade east to Beach Park. Boat traffic is heavy at the launches, so cast with care.
