River Park is an 8.6-acre City of Pascagoula park on the Pascagoula River at 4100 Clark Street, just north of the US 90 causeway, with a 650-foot fishing pier, a boat ramp, an accessible kayak launch, picnic tables and a pavilion. The lower Pascagoula is brackish, so the catch rises and falls with the river: when flows drop in late summer and fall, speckled trout, redfish, flounder and black drum push up past the park, while high water after rain freshens the river and brings bass and catfish instead. Sheepshead and drum hold around the pilings in the cooler months. Fish live shrimp under a cork or on a Carolina rig, and time trips for a falling tide. The city began replacing decking at the park in 2024, so check the pier is open before a long drive.
