Lot 7A Beach Access, Navarre Beach Fishing

5.6· Beach· Navarre, FL

Lot 7A is a Santa Rosa County beach access on Gulf Boulevard about a mile west of the Navarre Beach pier, with a lot of about twenty-five spaces, a dune walkover and a trash can. There are no restrooms and no lifeguards, so it draws surf anglers who want Gulf sand without the pier crowd. Pompano, whiting and redfish are the surf fish here: sand fleas on a two-hook rig in the trough for the first two, cut bait just past the breakers for the third. Spring and fall are best, summer brings whiting, ladyfish and sharks at dusk, and winter is slow. The county does not list fishing at this access, so read the posted signs, and stay well clear of the guarded swim beach near the pier. Rip currents and summer storms are the hazards.
