Best fishing spots in St. Pete Beach

St. Pete Beach has two jetties within easy reach. Blind Pass Jetty at Upham Beach is under 2 miles away and a good bet for snook, redfish and spotted seatrout, while Pass-a-Grille Jetty, about 2 miles off, adds mangrove snapper and sheepshead to the snook and redfish.

John's Pass is around 5 miles away if you want an inlet, and two piers sit about 7 miles out. Fort De Soto Bay Pier is the choice for sheepshead, snapper, trout and Spanish mackerel, and the north Skyway Fishing Pier gives you a shot at tarpon and king mackerel. It is a lot of choice for one town.
