Best fishing spots in West Palm Beach
West Palm Beach's shore fishing starts around the inlet, where Jim Barry Light Harbor Park, about 5 miles from downtown, holds mangrove snapper and snook from its pier. Peanut Island Park, just over 5 miles away, covers the inlet side with snook and great barracuda.
Ocean Reef Park, under 7 miles out, gives beach anglers a shot at pompano and whiting, and the Juno Beach Pier, about 11 miles away, is the top-rated spot nearby for snook, pompano and Spanish mackerel. Farther south, Jupiter Inlet, just over 14 miles from downtown, adds tarpon to the mix for anglers chasing something bigger.
